I really have Festival on the brain right now since I am the Fall Festival Chair, so I thought I would share some photos of last year's Carnival with you guys. Katie had a great time manning the PreK Drinks booth with Mommy. We played Bingo together and she even won a cake her first try at the Cake Wheel! Katie's 8th grade buddy - Darcy - was running the inflatable and took time out to take a pic with Katie. She was sweet and even told her friends that this was her Pre-K buddy. Katie had fun playing carnival games with her friends too! She is growing up so fast - she and her friends asked if they could walk around the Carnival by themselves. Just a foreshadowing of things to come!! I just wasn't ready for that - I thought it would come sometime in the pre-teens, and not pre-K!! I let her go (literally), but took a shot of them chatting together. Bittersweet, but part of life. Let's hope that the teen 'tude doesn't come up along with this independence!
