Imagine my surprise when I noticed that S.F. II was more "bloated" than usual yesterday. Kept an eye on her, waiting for her to "kick it", but suddenly realized that we may be parents to more than 2 fish soon! Dang people at Petsmart - isn't there some sort of rule that they have to tell you about preggers fish???? Seriously, we can't even remember how fish get pregnant - man, really should have listened in those biology classes in high school. I have polled several friends and family, and nobody really knows. Consensus says fish are like Jamie Lee Curtis (you all know what I mean). Any confirmation on that people?
Anyway, apparently we have to get some sort of "breeder net" so that when S.F. II has her fish she doesn't go all Hannibal Lector on them. Yeah, those Petsmarters know about breeder nets, but where were they when they gave us the pregnant fish??? Bug will be excited about the new fish (if their parent doesn't eat them first), so that's great, but still - wishing we had gotten another dog!
